  1. In a mixing bowl combine besan, salt, chili powder, baking soda, cumin seeds and gradually add water beat 4-5 min a batter that is neither too thick & not watery is obtained cover and leave it for 10-20 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in deep frying wok over medium-high heat, with a tblsp drop batter into the oil and reduce the heat to medium-low and fry in batches until golden brown.

    Transfer the bahla (balls) into the bowl of cold water and soak for about 5 minutes or until slightly soften, colour lighten and double in size.
  3. #To_prepare_the_yogurt_sauce:

    add sugar, salt and chaat masala to the yogurt whisk well until smooth (add some water if you needed).
