- 4 tomatoes

- 2 cardamom
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 bayleaf
- For marination
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder

- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 700 gram chicken
- Pinch yellow food colour
Steps to make to make Chargha Biryani
- In a bowl put chicken and add all the marinate ingredients and mix it well.keep aside for 15 mins.
- Preheat oven and bake the chicken for 5mins only.
- Heat oil and deep fry the chicken pieces till golden remove and keep aside.
- Take a large pot(use nonstick pot)heat oil add the chopped onions and fry untill it turns golden add chopped tomatoes saute for 5mins.
- Then add all the other ingredients (check ingredients list) and cook on a low to medium flame untill your masala is completely cooked(about 20 to 25mins).donot add any water to the masala.make sure your masala is nice and thick.
- Now add fried chicken pieces and mix it.turn off the gas.
- Boil the rice with salt+green chilli+ bayleaf untill it's cook 75 to 80%.discard all the water and keep aside.strain completely.
- Take a big pot put some rice on bottom spread it now put masala and on the top of masala put all the boiled rice.on the rice put chopped coriander leaves orange and yellow food colour(mix colour into little water) some birista and cover the pan and keep on a very low flame for 10 to 15mins.
- Now your chargha biryani is ready to serve.
